I've been meaning to post pics of Eris and Luella's wigs for a while now (though you may have already seen them on my Flickr). Tell me what you think of them, as I'm not sure about the color mix of Luella's. I think Eris looks really pretty in hers though, Ridas are so versatile and lovely. :)

Yes, Bong arrived yesterday! :D Sadly the mailman delivered her just as we were leaving to go to the museum so I had to wait to open her. :( So it was a bit dark when I did, but I couldn't wait any longer. xD

Anyway, although she isn't as easily poseable straight out of the box as Alice, I love her to death. Her name is tentatively going to be April Jin Iseul (April is her first name, the other two are her Korean middle names). Do you think it will fit her?
I had already bought her some Bratz Kidz clothes yesterday (it got too dark for me to take pictures of them last night), and now I suddenly have a huge urge to buy her all sorts of clothes and miniature things. I think she might end up spoiled. ;)

I just paid my final payment on Bong Sun Hwa! She should be here in about a week! :D *fingers crossed for quick delivery*

My sister and I are sharing Alice and we were both breathless when we took her out of the box. She's my first straight-from-the-company, full BJD and I appreciated how much attention to detail Elfdoll used. I would buy from them again; they ship dolls for free, too.
All this excitement makes me want Bong to come home and I can't wait to finish saving for a body for Poppy. At first I wasn't sure how to handle Alice and was constantly afraid I'd break her but I think I'm getting used to it. She does feel delicate but also pretty sturdy (if that makes sense). My sister and I both love her so much! We're still trying to think of a really special name for her though. :)

I thought I should get back into the habit of updating, I know I haven't in a while. I even forgot to post the meet pictures, whoops! ^^; Anyway, here they are. (You'll see Pirouette's new wig in these; Eris's wig will have to be shown later, I don't have any good pictures of it.) I absolutely fell in love with Afternoon at that meet. I already liked her a lot but seeing how beautiful she is in person really convinced me that she's worth every penny. :)
The bad thing about this is that I thought I was done with the "older" (Type 2) Pullips. Apparently not. xD Now there are so many more on my want list, which now includes:

I still have to take care of some BJD stuff before I can buy more Pullips, Blythes, or Pinkys. Not to mention this month I have my Halloween costume to worry about too. It'll be awesome though. ;D
Speaking of dolly expenses, I'm halfway through my payments on Bong Sun Hwa! Bwahaha, she will be mine in January! >:D
I also bought... another BJD head. >.< I wouldn't have done it as I'm trying to concentrate on buying my Poppy girl a body, but there's been a lot of craze for Migidoll Ryu lately and this is the last run Migi is doing of him. This wouldn't matter if I didn't find him completely gorgeous and irresistible, but I do. xD So this is my last guaranteed chance to get him (besides the secondary market, but I don't want to wait until I can't afford him). I think this boy's body will have to be low-priority for a while because Poppy still needs a body, eyes, wig and clothes, and I might want to get a few more Pullips/my first Blythe before I start saving for something big again. ^^;

I'm so excited! Tomorrow I'm going to my first ever Pullip meet, yay! :D
My Acquire wigs arrived today, too, so some of my girls got new hairstyles just in time for the meet. :) I'll post pictures soon, so you can see how cute they look. ;)
The only thing I'm worried about is which dolls I should bring to the meet. Most of them will be able to go, but I'm not sure about Kismet, Luella, Zulia, and Eris. Kismet is rarer than my other dolls, so I'm a bit worried about taking her out in public, but I think I can get over it. :P Plus she's dying to show off her pretty kimono, hehe. Plus I just washed her semi-frizzy hair, so I won't be so afraid to touch it now. xD
As for Zulia, her hair is still a giant puff ball. :x The Acquire wig I got her is perfect style-wise, but the color just doesn't fit. It isn't as close to her stock color as I had hoped. :( I think the final verdict on her hair problem is that I'll be washing and trimming it soon. I can't deal with the whole thing, but maybe cutting off some of it will help. She'd look good with slightly shorter hair anyway. :)
Luella and Eris are technically complete (Eris got her wig today, too), but they still need a few touches. Luella still needs her new wig and Eris needs her eyechips. Plus Luella's stock wig is mostly removed because I got impatient waiting for her new KStarr one. xD
Anyway, I'll stop rambling. :P I'm just sooo excited! ^_^

Some new clothes for my girls arrived the other day: a pretty black dress, black mary janes and a cute white shirt. I got them from a private sale but I believe the dress and shirt are from Kitten Walk. :) The dress strikes me more as Kismet's style than Zulia's, but Kismet didn't want to change out of her kimono and Zulia looks just as pretty in it. ^_^ Anyway, my apologies for the bad lighting and the awful mess Zulia's hair is in. :x I knew I should have detangled it as soon as I got her... *facepalm* Oh, but that reminds me, my Acquire wigs will be coming soon (hopefully Luella's Kstarr wig will be here soon too), so it looks like she'll finally get a new one (or if that doesn't work, I'll stop being lazy and just detangle and trim her hair already ^^;). It looks like my Poppy head has been shipped, yay! :D I'm wondering when I'll be able to afford a body for her because... well...
I put another doll on layaway today. ^^; I know I should be saving for Poppy's body, but I just love this little girl! She's a tiny (phew), but she's limited, so I thought the best way would be to snatch her up while there's still one or two of her in the stores. She's an Elfdoll Bong Sun Hwa, if you're wondering, and I've really fallen in love with her. ^^; (I know she has an unusual face, but it seems I'm drawn to the dolls with unusual looks. <3) I'm going to be paying her off over 6 months, at $45 each month (or more, if I can manage it, so maybe she can come home sooner). So it looks like I'll have to put off buying more Pullips, BJDs, and Poppy's body. But I'll be so glad to have little Bong when she finally gets here! ^^
On another note: I went to see Stardust today; it was wonderful. ^_^ It had everything I like to see in a fantasy movie: it was smart, with an original story, great characters, humor, and it was just lots of fun. I definitely recommend it, I think some of you would really enjoy it. :)

I'm really excited right now... I found the BJD head I was looking for recently (I'm actually on vacation but couldn't help checking my email "just in case" I got an offer, hehe), and I just paid for her! *squee!* I'm just so happy because she's my dream BJD, and even though she won't have eyes or a wig or a body for a bit I can't wait until she shows up in the mail! :D
I also went to the craft store today and was inspired to do something for my Pullips (in the middle of being giddy about my first BJD and looking for stuff for a completely different craft "project"). I'm thinking of setting them up a little room, like a movie set or pseudo-dollhouse, since I can't really afford a whole one for all eight of them. (How did I get that many so fast? I used to think I'd have three at most. xD) Anyway, if I go through with it you'll see pictures to see what I mean. ;3

It's my birthday today, yaaaay! :DDDDD Heh, sorry I'm so excited. ^^; I'm just so happy because it's been a really great birthday. I got a nice dinner with all my favorite foods, and instead of birthday cake, we had cheesecake! xD Yum. But the best part (and the part that's actually significant dolly-wise) is that I got about enough birthday money to get my dream BJD's head! (I know it's just a head, but that's not the point! Bodies are expensive, rawr. >:( ) Now I just have to hunt one down, heh. :p
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that tomorrow's my Pullip-versary. :P (And therefore Joon's birthday, but I don't know that I'll really be able to remember all my dolls' birthdays so I'll just mash it all into one. xD) So I'm going to celebrate that too, heh. Hopefully I'll have time to watch Benny & Joon with the dollies. xD Then maybe we'll feast on the cake-eraser that I bought while shopping for stuff for my HoP summer swap buddy. xD And in a few days Joon will get her birthday present, a cute handmade outfit from Etsy. :3 (They're all so spoiled...)

Yay! Tomorrow morning I'm going to Portland, Oregon, which means I'll have limited to no internet access for a while, in case you ever start to wonder why I left my constant post at the computer. xD But it'll be fun.
Anyway, in doll news, I ordered that Kstarr wig for Luella (I ended up choosing the curly style, in yellow with blue and pink streaks), and I'm buying a nude Rida as well (!!!). She'll be somewhat of a custom project over the summer, I think. (Though I'm not fully customizing her, really, I'll just replace her wig, eyechips, and eyelashes, plus I'll Obitsu her.) I already have her character planned out, for whenever I finish with my current picfic series and start some new picfics. (Speaking of, I wrote the next installment of "A Whole New World" today, but I haven't shot it yet. I know, I should do these things in advance, but I'm incredibly lazy. :P)

I'm hoping to order a Kstarr wig for Luella (Arietta) this ordering period... so I'd appreciate any opinions on my two top choices. I want the base color to be yellow, and the two main styles I'm trying to decide between are 13.002 and 13.006. I want a long style like her stock wig, but I'm not sure I can handle curls again. x_x I think for 13.002, I would get a blue-and-pink right side stripe, and for 13.006 I would get blue and pink streaks. (If I could figure out the code for that - it's so confusing! D:) Anyway, what do you guys think?

Recently, I took the whole Pullip (+1 Taeyang, of course) family outside for a big ol' photoshoot. (You can probably imagine what a hassle that was.) Each dollie got their own individual pics... I didn't think to take pictures of them together, sorry. xD I was going to do a photoshoot for each one of them, but I decided to kill 8 birds with one stone. xD

Just to let you know... my picfic is not dead. I've just been so incredibly late in writing, shooting, and posting this installment. I don't think the once-a-week thing is working out too well... ^^; So I think I'll officially call this picfic a once-in-a-while thing (but still as often as possible) from now on, because that's what it's become.
